We guide each project with clear communication, careful planning, dependable leadership, and respect for the home we're working in. From the first conversation to the final walkthrough, you'll know what we're doing, why we're doing it, and what comes next.
Here is what you can expect when you partner with us:
Ideation & Initial Quote
We make sure we’re the right fit for your goals and your budget before anyone spends a dime.
- The Consultation: We visit your home to look at the space, listen to your vision, and discuss what you want to invest.
- Reviewing Existing Plans: If you already have architectural blueprints or are working with an interior designer, we review those details to see how they align with real-world building costs.
- The Ballpark Estimate: Based on years of local building experience, we provide a realistic price range for your project. This ensures we are in the same financial ballpark before moving into detailed planning.
- No Hard Bids Yet: Our initial quote is free. But we don’t guess on final numbers. Jumping straight to a hard contract without a clear, verified plan leads to surprise costs later, and our family doesn't operate that way.
Design & Selections
This is where we plan the work so we can work the plan. To cover our time, we sign a simple Pre-Construction Agreement for a small planning and design fee.
- Designing to Budget: If you don't have plans, we put your ideas on paper and lock in the layout. If you do have blueprints, we use this phase to perform a technical review—validating your consultants' plans to ensure feasibility and alignment.
- Collaborating with Your Designer: We love working alongside interior designers. During this step, we collaborate with them to make sure their design perfectly matches the structural bones and mechanical systems of your home.
- Choosing Materials: You pick out your exact flooring, fixtures, and finishes. Because we aren't a luxury boutique, we help you find high-quality materials that look great without breaking the bank. We make recommendations based on your budget and vision, and work with vendors to secure the best price.
- The Final Hard Bid: Once every single line item, permit requirement, and material choice is locked in, we give you a firm, transparent Hard Bid. No moving targets, no guessing games. (Bonus: If you build with us, 100% of your planning fee is credited right back to your construction budget!)
Dust & Progress
Once the contract is signed, we get to work. And we treat your house with respect along the way.
- Site Protection: We set up dust barriers and floor protection. We keep a clean job site because we know you still have to live and breathe here.
- Scheduling the Experts: We manage our trusted team of plumbers, electricians, and framers. You don't have to chase anyone down—we handle the schedule and the city inspections from start to finish.
- The "No-Surprises" Guarantee: If we open up a wall and find something unexpected, we stop and talk to you immediately. Nothing is changed, and no extra money is spent without your sign-off first.
The Handover & Celebration
We don't call it done until you love it.
- The Punch List Walkthrough: We walk through the completed space together, checking every cabinet door and paint corner to make sure it’s perfect.
- Deep Clean: We bring in a clean-up crew so your new space is ready to use the second we leave.
- Warranties & Handover: We hand over the keys, the manuals, and our solid craftsmanship warranty. You're officially part of the Echo Hills family!
